The Hawke's Bay Regional Council is currently reviewing the dates when accounts are sent, and the due dates for payment.
To make it easier to budget and pay your Hawke's Bay Regional Council rates, there are different payment options you can use:
- Personal Payment
You can pay by cheque by returning it with the detached slip in the prepaid envelope. (The whole of the assessment must be returned if you require a receipt.)
OR, you can pay at Bank of New Zealand branches throughout the region for both cash and cheque payments but you must take your rates assessment into the branch.
OR, you can pay at our main office at 159 Dalton Street, Napier between 8 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday. But note, that if you delay payment at our office until the last day for payment you may experience queues and delays in our normal service - plan to pay early.
- Automatic Payment
Arrange with us to pay installments on a fortnightly or monthly basis. Contact our Rates staff for more information.
- Direct Debit
Arrange with us to debit your bank account before the penalty date. Contact our Rates staff for more information.
- Telephone/Internet Banking
You can organise this yourself, if your bank offers these facilities.
Use Bank of New Zealand account number 02-0700-0010824-04 and quote the valuation roll number as shown on the rates invoice as the reference number.
Note:This account number is solely for Rates use, and should not be used for other Council payments.
