Dirt parks have been built by clubs and/or local communities on Council land so that young people have a great place to enjoy recreation and sport.
These dirt parks are for the public to use. Please look after these facilities, take home your rubbish and act responsibly so that others can enjoy them.

These dirt parks have been constructed by community groups or club volunteers, who will maintain the tracks as required. Designed specifically for Bicycles: BMX, jump bikes or mountain bikes, no Motorbikes allowed.
Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has been pleased to assist interested groups to find suitable sites for dirt parks on Council land alongside rivers. Staff provide guidance on the design of the tracks so that these can fit in with flood control needs along these river berm areas, which can be underwater in a flood.
If you have an idea for a track on a river area near you, please contact our rivers staff on 06 845 9210.
