Irrigation bans have been placed on the Papanui and Karamu streams today by Hawke's Bay Regional Council, as stream flows have dropped below the low flow limits.
Other irrigation bans in force are on Karewarewa, Poukawa and Irongate streams. Some larger water takes on both the Waipawa River and the Ngaruroro River are banned, while smaller takes are on warning.
A low flow warning remains on the Tukituki River for consents linked to Tapairu Road and on the Waipawa River at consents linked to the lowest flow limit. Other warnings are on the Te Waikaha, Maraekakaho and Raupare Streams.
