Hawke's Bay Regional Council has lifted the bans on irrigation takes from the Ngaruroro River for the two lower flow limits of 2800 litre/sec and 2400l/s at the Fernhill monitoring site.
Rain earlier in the week has boosted flows, however the lifting of the ban will be assessed again next week if there is no rain over the weekend.
This may provide some relief for the 52 consent holders who have had bans on the water takes for the 2800 l/s limit since 27 March and for the2400 l/s limit since 31 March.
