New Approach to Draft Annual Plan Consultation

Hawke's Bay Regional Council is taking a new approach to its consultation on the draft Annual Plan 2008/09 by using television to get the information to more people.

The programme will be broadcast tonight on TVHB’s Chatroom - available on Channel 51, Sky89 or Freeview21.

This website has a copy of the plan and a summary to make it easy for people to get information and have an input into Council planning.

Public meetings are also being held in different parts of the region with the first one this evening in the Hawke's Bay Regional Council Chamber in Napier, at 5.30pm. It’s an opportunity for people to discuss the plan and Council work first hand with Councillors and managers.

Other meetings next week are at

  • Civic Theatre, Waipukurau, 5.30pm Tuesday 6 May
  • Hastings District Council, 5.30pm Thursday 8 May.

Submissions on the Regional Council’s draft Annual Plan need to be with the Council by Monday 19 May at 5pm.
