Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is looking to fill this new role with a candidate who has experience in strategic development and ideally, with a background in economics or social science.

A crucial part of the role will be to provide strong conceptual and analytical focus to issues of complexity and uncertainty. You will be a lateral thinker and innovative problem solver.

We need applicants who have a good understanding of tikanga Maori and can facilitate the relationship between tangata whenua and Council and their involvement in planning processes
 
A high standard of the full range of communication skills will need to be evident, as will enthusiasm and effective interpersonal skills.
