Family Picnic Day At Pakowhai Country Park


Sunday 29 November arrived with sunshine and a 30 degree high for Hawke’s Bay Regional Council’s Picnic Day at Pakowhai Country Park. Over 300 people enjoyed a relaxing day in the park, with live music and a variety of activities keeping everyone entertained. The Hawke’s Bay Dog Training Club wowed spectators , human and canine, with displays of agility, obedience and flygility, while kids had their faces painted, played on the bouncy castle and challenged themselves to answer questions on a treasure hunt around the park. Visitors were surveyed on their thoughts for the future of Pakowhai Country Park, and this will help the council to manage its development.
