The Minister for Treaty Negotiations, the Hon. Christopher Finlayson, has released a Media Statement in relation to Treaty settlements in Hawke’s Bay and the intention to establish a joint plan committee of the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.

The Committee will develop natural resource policy through the Regional Policy Statement and Regional Resource Management plan and will be formed as a statutory committee, with its purposes and membership enshrined in treaty legislation.
