Kirton Appointed as HB Inc Chairman

Media Release 30 March 2009
Kirton Appointed as HB Inc Chairman

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has confirmed Neil Kirton as Chairman of Hawke’s Bay Inc.

Mr Kirton has been in the acting Chairman for the regional development agency since 1 December 2008 after Ross Bramwell retired from the position.

Council confirmed Mr Kirton as a positive choice for Chairman as he is a Regional Councillor who has been on the board for a period, and Hawke’s Bay Inc is now a business unit of the Regional Council.  There is also a proposal for the Regional Council to rate directly for the funding from Hastings and Napier.
The Board of Hawke’s Bay Inc is also in support of Mr Kirton as Chairman.
