Youth Environment Forum On

A two day environmental forum for secondary students has been organised by the HB Youth Environment Council and will be held near Havelock North on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 May.
The Youth Environment Council is a group of high school students who are keen on environmental issues and who promote environmental activities within their schools.
The students have developed a full two day programme which includes seminars on water issues, climate change, Council planning, recycled clothing creations, waste minimisation, energy and nature appreciation.    The students have invited local experts to speak at some of the seminars.
Students from all secondary schools were invited to take part, and thirty students from Hastings and Napier will participate.
The forum is supported Hawke's Bay Regional Council.

Media contact:
Please contact me (Susan Wylie) in the first instance as I will be at the forum both days. Cellphone details below.
