Waipawa River Bans Lifted

 

Following the rain in the last few days, Hawke's Bay Regional Council has been able to lift all bans on the Waipawa River for water takes for irrigation.

 

Flows have increased over the weekend to above 6000 litres/sec and water levels are rising on the Tukituki River as well.

 

Irrigation bans on the Ngaruroro River were lifted on Friday.

 

Information on current irrigation ban status and flow limits is updated each time on www.hbrc.govt.nz – click on Low Flow Bans Date under the Online Information heading on the home page.

 

Current bans

Karewarewa Stream, Irongate Stream, Te Waikaha Stream, Puhokio Stream, Papanui Stream.

Current warnings

Ngaruroro River, Maraekakaho Stream, Poukawa Stream, Louisa Stream, Maraetotara River at Te Awanga, Raupere Stream, Karamu Stream, Tukipo River, Waipawa River - SH2, Tukituki River at Tapairu Road.
