19-Aug-2010 - Regional Council Looks For Future Scientists

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council will be presenting prizes for environmental projects at the Hawke’s Bay Science and Technology Fair next week.

The fair is for Year 7 to 13 students from intermediate and high schools throughout Hawke’s Bay to display research projects they have done in science and/or technology.

The students will submit their exhibits at Te Whare at the EIT Campus in Napier this Friday for judging.

The winners will be presented with their prizes at the EIT campus on Wednesday 25 August at 7pm.

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council sponsors up to five prizes each year for winning exhibits demonstrating the best understanding and demonstration of environmental science topics.

Five of the Council’s science team will serve as judges this year  – Fiona Cameron, Kolt Johnson, Rob Waldron, Dougall Gordon and Sarah Alexander.
