HBRC Strategic Plan

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has adopted a Strategic Plan (October 2011). The plan outlines the overall strategic priorities for HBRC over the next ten years and these priorities are likely to form the basis of the development of the Long Term Plan for 2012-22.

Contents

  • Introduction, including where we have come from and 'what will Hawke's Bay look and feel like in 2050?"
  • Focus areas of the Strategic Plan - Resilient ecosystems, resilient economy, resilient communities, enabling strategic goals.

As with any plan, it should be seen as a “living document”, subject to evolution, refinement and adjustment as the external environment changes, priorities shift, new ideas and thinking emerge. This is not a statutory document so is able to be flexible while still setting a future direction for HBRC and the region.
