Hawke's Bay Regional Council prepares the Long Term Council Community Plan (now titled the Ten Year Plan) every three years, and The Plan has a 10 year scope.
The 10 Year Plan 2009-19 is now available.
In this long term Plan, the Council identifies the work we will do to help achieve the Community Outcomes that are relevant to our role. Details are provided for work and budgets within Council's groups of activities, with an explanation of level of service, long term targets and measures to monitor progress.

The 10 Year Plan also provides financial estimates for the 10 year period and how these costs will be funded. A number of Council policies are detailed, making this a major reference document to be referred to in future years alongside Council's annual plans and annual reports.
