The Regional Council's groundwater monitoring network consists of some 68 wells across the Hawke's Bay region. Water Quality is sampled quarterly for a range of parameters.
If you have concerns about specific, rural domestic supplies from bores (eg. bad smell, taste, appearance), get a sample tested by a laboratory (listed under Laboratories in the Yellow Pages).
SAMPLING RESULTS
The information displayed shows the results from the most recent sampling round. The results are also compared in the table with various water quality guidelines contained in the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards 2001, for a number of parameters.
