From time to time, the Regional Council proposes amendments (referred to as plan changes or variations) to the Regional Policy Statement, and its regional plans. These proposals are part of the Regional Council’s programme to continually improve its plans and policy statement. Before proposed amendments are incorporated into the existing planning documents, the proposals have to go through a consultative process prescribed in the Resource Management Act 1991.
The following are amendments made, or proposed to be made, to the Regional Coastal Environment Plan and the Regional Resource Management Plan (including the Regional Policy Statement).
