Understanding Native FishKia whakamāramatia ngā ika taketake.

We are trying to find out more about our native fish species and how best to protect them. Take a look at a video of Patiki (flounder).

New Zealand has around 40 native fish and 70% of them are threatened or at risk.

The Regional Council is trying to find out more about many of the species and how they live to help protect them for the future.

Patiki (flounder) are one species we want to know more about.
