Local Governance StatementTauākī Kāwanatanga ā-rohe

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council’s Local Governance Statement is a collection of information about the processes that Council uses to engage with the region’s residents.

the Regional Council Local Governance Statement outlines how Council makes decisions and shows how residents can influence those processes.

The Local Governance Statement is a requirement of Section 40 of the Local Government Act 2002. Council must update the Statement within six months of each triennial election. 

The 2017 LGS was adopted for publication by Council resolution on 29 March 2017.
