The Hawke’s Bay Regional Council – Works Group (a business unit of Council) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to manage the operational activities of the HBRC Soil Conservation Nursery. The role is based at the Soil Conservation nursery, a horticultural enterprise owned by the Hawke's Bay Regional Council.
To be successful in this role you will need to have had previous horticultural experience, preferably nursery management in the field of Willow and Poplar poles. You will be required to hold a current Growsafe certification, and a clean current Class 1 drivers license. Knowledge in the fields of soil conservation and riparian planting would be an advantage.
You will be committed to safe work practices, have a positive attitude to health and safety, and be comfortable working independently, or in a team environment.
