Regional Council rates due this week

rates

The last day for paying Hawke’s Bay Regional Council rates is this Thursday 31 January.

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council rates help pay for work across the region to improve our natural environment.

Many ratepayers have now signed up to pay their rates by Direct Debit by the due date.

Ratepayers who have not already paid or arranged an automatic bank payment can either pay in person at the council’s Rates counter at 159 Dalton St, Napier, or their local BNZ where they will need to take their rates account with them.  Another option is to schedule an internet banking payment.

However, it is too late to post a cheque to be received by the regional council in time.

A 10 percent penalty is applied to any rates amounts still outstanding after 1 February.
