Waka Ama Kahungunu Secondary School Championships 2019

In accordance with the Navigation Safety Bylaw 2018, Clause 3.9, the sea area within Pandora Pond, Ahuriri, is temporarily reserved for a waka ama championship event from:

10.00am to 4.00pm Saturday 16 March 2019.

For safety reasons, the event area is closed to all unauthorised water craft, net or line fishing, or any other water activity likely to interfere with the event, except as directed by race officials.

Temporary Exclusion Zone - Napier Harbour to Bay View
NZ Offshore Powerboat Series – Round 4

In accordance with the Hawke’s Bay Navigation Safety Bylaw 2018, Clause 3.9, the sea area following the shoreline southwards from Bay View to the rock groyne close to the port at Battery Road including the Napier Harbour entrance, and extending seawards up to 1500 metres, is reserved for a powerboat race from:

8.00am to 3.00pm Saturday 16 March 2019.

Speed restrictions are temporarily uplifted and powerboats competing in this race may exceed 150 km/h. For safety reasons, the race area is closed to all unauthorised water craft, net or line fishing, swimming or any other water activity likely to interfere with the event, except as directed by NZ Offshore Powerboat Association race officials. They will control the movement of all vessels within this area and may remove debris, obstructions etc.

During this time, and within the course area and approaches, all movements to and from Napier Inner Harbour are prohibited except for an emergency. Vessels needing to enter the Inner Harbour or race area in an emergency contact Coastguard on channel 01. Failure to comply with these bylaw regulations may lead to an infringement fine or prosecution.
