RPC recommends TANK plan change notified

The Regional Planning Committee has this afternoon agreed to make a recommendation that Hawke’s Bay Regional Council publicly notify the TANK plan change (Tūtaekurī, Ahuriri, Ngaruroro and Karamū catchments).

A meeting of the full Council will vote on this when it meets on 25 September.

Plan Change 9 for the TANK catchments will give clear direction to landowners, consent holders and other water users regarding the quality and quantity of the freshwater resources of the TANK catchments.

The draft TANK plan was initially handed over to the Regional Planning Committee in August last year at the conclusion of the TANK stakeholder group meetings. During the past year, the committee has considered the non-consensus items within the draft Plan and made decisions on those issues.
