2020-21 Annual Plan Adopted

AP2020 21

Leading a climate-smart recovery for Hawke’s Bay is this year’s focus for the Regional Council, confirmed today as it adopted the 2020-21 Annual Plan.

This year’s plan has an emphasis on recovery following the impacts of COVID-19 and the recent severe drought.

Regional Council Chair Rex Graham endorsed this year’s plan saying it maintains delivery of the Regional Council’s environmental work, with a stronger focus on climate change and supporting the Bay’s economy.

“After listening to our regional community, we’ve kept rates revenue for this year at zero percent, and set aside $1 million for recovery-related projects,” says Mr Graham.

The 2020-21 Annual Plan covers the period 1 July 2020 until 30 June 2021. It continues the direction set by the 2018-28 Long Term Plan.
