You can apply here to pay your Hawke's Bay Regional Council rates by Direct Debit. This is the easiest way to pay, as you don’t need to adjust your payment amounts each year.
We can arrange a direct debit option to spread your rates payment, with a monthly plan. You can use the online form for up to 3 properties. If you have more than 3 properties, simply complete the form again.
If you prefer you can complete the direct debit form by hand rather than online. Please ensure you complete a separate form for each property.
Check out our handy new rates calculator. It can help you find out what your rates payment are and how much your monthly direct payments could be to ensure your rates for this year 2019-20 and next year 2020-21 are paid in full by the new due date of 20 September 2020.
Just enter your address and the month you would like to start your repayments, and the calculator will work out your potential monthly payments. Check out the 'things to know' on this page before using this calculator.
A heads up that there will be a change to the due date for your rates from next year. Regional Council invoices are currently sent out in September each year, with final date for payment 31 January.
From July 2020, rates will be invoiced in early August and due by 20 September 2020. Pay your rates as usual this year, or take advantage of our new monthly direct debit option to make sure you’ve paid in full by the new due date. The handy calculator on this page will help you work out potential monthly repayments.
An option for a single direct debit payment on the due date is also available. These will occur on 31 January 2020 for the 2019-20 rates, and 20 September 2020 for your 2020-21 rates.
