Our regional plans set out how we manage the natural and physical resources of the Hawkes Bay as required under the Resource Management Act (RMA). They include rules and regulations that balance development and use of the environment, while protecting and safeguarding it for future generations. When someone applies for a resource consent, they must show that their proposal aligns with the policies and rules of the RRMP, RCEP (if relevant) and any relevant plan changes or variations.
