Hawke’s Bay Regional Council rates are used for managing our natural resources – water, land, air and coast. They also support other regional functions like transport and Civil Defence.
This page will help you find out how to pay your rates, when they are due and what they are spent on.
You can search Hawke's Bay properties by address or valuation number to find out rates information* such as: current rates, rates history, how rates are spent, rates rebates, valuations and proposed rates for the future.
A heads up that there will be a change to the due date for your rates from next year. Regional Council invoices are currently sent out in September each year, with final date for payment 31 January.
From July 2020, rates will be invoiced in early August and due by 20 September 2020. Pay your rates as usual this year, or take advantage of our new monthly direct debit option to make sure you’ve paid in full by the new due date. See our handy new rates calculator on our direct debit page to help you work out potential monthly repayments.
