HBRC Regional SurveyTātauranga ā-rohe o Te Kaunihera o Te Matau-a-Māui

Find out about the results of our regular independent survey of Hawke’s Bay residents and their views on the environment and council.

Every 2 years, Hawke's Bay Regional Council commissions an independent survey of Hawke’s Bay people.

2021 survey

In March-May 2021 we surveyed 800 people and here is the summary brochure of the 2021 survey findings  and the full results of the 2021 survey

The purpose of our research is to gain an up to date understanding of Hawke's Bay residents attitudes towards the environment, to measure their awareness and satisfaction with the Council and its role, and to identify their preferred methods of communication with the council.

The survey results are shared with Councillors, Executive and the Regional Council's Management teams to identify key actions that can be taken.

Previous results came from a similar 800-person survey in May-June 2019. The results from our surveys can be found in the Related Documents tab on this page.
