Postal voting for Hastings by-election: vote by 10 Sept

Postal voting for Hawke’s Bay Regional Council’s Hastings by-election opens today, Thursday 19 August, and NZ Post has started delivering voting documents to Hastings constituency voters.

NZ Post deliveries will continue as normal during Level 4.

Election day for the by-election is 10 September currently, however if required this will be reassessed in response to any changes in alert levels.

Your vote should be in the post by end of the day on Monday 6 September to be received in time, by 10 September.

Please note: if COVID-19 restrictions allow, people are able to make a Special Vote by visiting either the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council office, 159 Dalton Street, Napier South, Napier or the Hastings District Council office, 207 Lyndon Road East, Hastings between 9am and 4pm between Thursday 19 August to Thursday 9 September, or from 9am until 12 noon on Friday 10 September 2021. This is not possible at the moment under Alert Level 4.
