Resource Technician – Groundwater (Vacancy No 16-826)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our groundwater team for an enthusiastic, technically-minded individual with a willingness to learn.

The successful applicant will spend most of their time collecting and archiving groundwater quality data and other environmental field data according to the requirements of our Quality Management System. They will also maintain equipment and assist with the design, construction and deployment of field equipment for investigation projects. Good organisational skills, an ability to work in a team and an eye for detail are all required.

Previous experience with field-based scientific investigations and routine monitoring may be an advantage, as will experience with hand tools, plumbing, electronic and technical equipment, and a capability to undertake limited manual labour.  A degree in geology, physical geography or environmental science may be advantageous but is not essential.

Essential requirements include: a full vehicle license and a willingness to work alone in the field in a safe manner.
