Administration Coordinator - 6 month fixed term

At Hawke’s Bay Regional Council our purpose is to work with our community to protect and manage the region’s precious taonga of rivers, lakes, soils, air, coast and biodiversity for health, wellbeing and connectivity. Our organisation is diverse and our work is varied. Our structure comprises of six key business units; Corporate Services, Integrated Catchment Management, Asset Management, Māori Partnerships, Policy & Regulation, and the Executive Advisory Group which also consists of the Civil Defence and Emergency Management.

 

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an Administration Coordinator to join the Catchment Services Section, which is part of the Integrated Catchment Management Services Group.  Due to project funding, the role is fixed term until 30 June 2022 to support the Predator Free Hawke’s Bay Team to delivery their project requirements. 

 

The key focus of the position is to provide general administration support to the section manager, team leaders and wider Predator Free Hawke’s Bay team in addition to:

  • Managing electronic diaries and travel arrangements
  • Administer the TechOne finance system (purchase orders and requisitions)
  • Collate papers for meetings, take minutes and circulate relevant documents
  • Adhoc administration support

This is an important support role that requires someone who has excellent customer services skills, the ability to pick up IT systems with ease, an intuitive personality, and an ability to achieve high levels of accuracy.

 

About you:

You will have previous experience in an administration support role and ideally you will also have:

  • Experience providing project and I.T. systems administration and support
  • Experience in financial analysis, data analysis and quality assurance
  • Office administration experience
  • Experience in minute taking

You don’t need to have technical expertise within the Catchment Services field however you will need to be able to work effectively under pressure, be skilled in responding to a varied and diverse workload and have exceptional computer and communication skills.

 

The salary range for this role is $55-60k per annum depending on experience.
