CATCHMENT ADVISOR – Project Monitoring & Evaluation (fixed term)

About the Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity to join the Catchment team and work on project monitoring and evaluation. The role is a one-year, fixed term position based in Napier.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for rural environments and take job satisfaction from achieving long term erosion control and sediment reduction outcomes.

 About you:

We need a motivated and enthusiastic person who can hit the ground running in this busy and dynamic role! We are seeking an individual who is solution focussed, who is familiarised with primary sector and understanding of natural resource management. Ideally you would be technically minded and have experience in erosion control practices using native and exotic seedlings. You would be working remotely, so you would need to be independent and capable worker in a rural environment.

 

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or significant experience in this industry
  • Strong observational and analytical skills.
  • Competency (and ideally certification) with one or more modes of on-farm transport (i.e. quad bike, side by side, motorbike)
  • Consider yourself competent in the use of mapping software or be excited about the prospect of learning.
  • Have a clean and full driver’s licence. 

 The salary range for this role depends on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
