Team Leader Asset Planning

He angitūtanga: About the Opportunity:

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council continues to grow and is looking to build its current leadership capabilities. We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated leader to guide our newly established Asset Planning function, within the wider Asset Management group.

This busy and diverse role will see you taking ownership of the day to day leadership of a team of six talented individuals, all collaborating to shape the Asset Management Strategy for Regional Council and lead change management processes for the new asset management framework. You will be a key influencer of asset management practice across Engineering, Schemes and Open Spaces teams, bringing you knowledge of asset performance and condition trends to take us into the future.

Key deliverables will be establishment of the groups long-term programme of work, planning for HBRC Schemes and Open Spaces assets, implementation of work programmes, and development of a fit for purpose asset management system aligned with ISO 55000.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you:

The right person for this role will have a combination of asset management best practice knowledge and experience as a leader. You will be a motivated and engaged individual, looking to connect with your team and offer support, coaching and professional development opportunities to grow their confidence and capabilities. To be successful in this role you must be committed to making an active contribution to a positive culture. Practically, you will have the skillset required to provide a centralised project management function for HBRC assets, bringing together Activity Management Plans and Infrastructure Strategy.

 

Ideally you will also have:

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effective influence improvement and drive change within a complex organisation.
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role/relevant industry.
  • Proven experience with and a comprehensive understanding of Asset Management Frameworks and Asset Management Information Systems.

The salary range for this role is between $102,870 to $114,300 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
