About the opportunity| Ko te āheinga:

At Council, we want to help improve the healthiness of homes with our Sustainable Homes programme. We assist with funding and grants for clean heating, insulation, solar power systems, double glazing, water storage and septic tanks, all to make Hawke’s Bay homes a healthy and efficient place to live.  This is an opportunity for the right person to join a great team of people in our Finance space, working in a community facing role that has positive impacts on the standard of housing in our region. This support role for our Sustainable Homes Programme is critical to the success of the programme, providing administrative support, great customer service and a welcoming approach to problem-solving that finds the best solution for all.

 You will need to be passionate about excellent customer service, as you will be a primary point of contact to ratepayers, suppliers, and Council colleagues. Your core role will be to oversee the application process, ensuring data integrity for sustainable homes and taking responsibility for the maintenance of data bases and documentation.

You'll need a 'can do' attitude and be able to hit the ground running, along with:

  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and co-ordinate work to ensure that goals are achieved with the highest quality of work possible within agreed timeframes.
  • An excellent standard of written and verbal communication that enables you to effectively convey technical information to end users.

 The successful candidate will need to have a good knowledge of sourcing, procurement techniques and supplier management and great problem-solving skills.

 

What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for the Sustainable Homes Administrator role is between $53,460 to $59,400. This will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
