Executive Assistant - Māori Partnerships

About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

We are on the lookout for an exceptional individual to join us as an Executive Assistant to support our Te Pou Whakarae. This role will also provide pivotal administrative support for our wider Māori Partnerships team. In this position, you will ensure that comprehensive administrative guidance and calendar management is given to our busy and passionate manager, while enjoying a relaxed, flexible and friendly work environment. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask is a must, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude. This is a part time opportunity for 20 hours per week (these hours must be split across 5-days to ensure the needs of the team are met), based in our Napier office.

 

You will be capable of high-level administrative support, including efficiently managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and making necessary travel arrangements. You will need to collate papers for executive and external meetings, prepare and circulate agendas, record minutes, and take action points as required.

 

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

The ideal person for this role will be comfortable handling sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.  Your strong time management, organisation and excellent communication skills will see you shine in this role, really making it your own!

 

Ideally you will also have:

  • 5+ years’ experience including working for a senior manager/executive in an environment where confidentiality, judgement and discretion are paramount
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • The ability to take initiative and problem solve effectively.
  • Sound understanding of tikanga Māori and Māori values and an appreciation as to how they relate to Regional Council functions and plan and policy development is desirable
  • Knowledge of financial systems are desirable

 

What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for this role is between $64,350 to $71,500 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
