Are you a recent graduate with a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to jumpstart your career in the world of finance? HBRC is looking for a dedicated and talented individual to join our Finance team as a Graduate Financial Accountant on a Fixed Term employment agreement (up to 15 months) for parental leave cover.

This full-time, fixed term role involves delivering guidance, generating reports, and offering assistance to the wider finance team. You will be at the forefront of ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning and reporting. This is a great opportunity to get into a corporate role in a busy local government entity that is making a positive impact for our community and environment.

 

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

As a Graduate Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for managing financial activities and delivering precise financial data to support decision-making processes within HBRC.

You’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with experience in financial reporting systems and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential, as is a genuine passion for learning and succeeding in the world of finance. You’ll have a relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field or nearing completion of such studies. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or progress towards CA qualifications is an advantage. Given the dynamic nature of HBRC, the role also demands resilience, adaptability, and flexibility to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.

What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for this role is between $73,780 to $86,800 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
