Public Notice: Harbourmaster’s Direction, Ahuriri Inner Harbour 23 June

The Harbourmaster has issued this direction under the Maritime Transport Act 1994 and the Hawke’s Bay Navigation Safety Bylaw.

It applies to all harbour users, including both recreational and commercial vessels.

Information

An engineering inspection of West Quay has identified structural issues along a 46m section of the quay wall, opposite 61 West Quay. The affected area has been marked with cones.

  • No vessel may berth alongside this section of the quay
  • No vessel may moor, tie up, or attach to any structure within the marked area
