We are looking for a Community Programmes Facilitator to join our Tū Hono Rau – Community and Partnerships Group. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Napier.
Tū Hono Rau – Community and Partnerships is the Council’s integrated function for communications, engagement, kaupapa Māori and Te Tiriti leadership. Its purpose is to strengthen Council’s relationships with tāngata whenua and the wider community, ensuring participation and partnership are embedded in all decisions, and uphold a visible and trusted presence.
The Community Programmes Facilitator is responsible for supporting the coordination, stewardship, and organisational oversight of Council’s community-based programmes. Reporting to the Manager - Engagement, you will provide a central point of visibility and insight across community programmes that Council leads, supports, partners in, or monitors. A key focus of this role is to maintain a clear organisational view of community programmes and the communities they engage with by ensuring that insight gathered is accurate, accessible, and consistently captured. You will also provide programme oversight to the Regional Council’s environmental education programme. You will support programme owners and delivery leads, strengthen coordination across teams and partners, identify overlaps and emerging issues, and maintain systems that enable effective monitoring and reporting.
You will be an organised and collaborative professional with experience working across programmes, information, and engagement environments. You will bring a collaborative and culturally aware approach to your work and the ability to incorporate appropriate te reo into everyday written and verbal communication.

The salary range for this role is between $75,650 to $89,000 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
