We are looking for a Compliance Coordinator to join our Compliance team. This is full-time, permanent opportunity based in Napier.
The Compliance team plays a critical role in promoting, monitoring, and investigating compliance with the Resource Management Act (RMA) and associated regulations and takes appropriate action when required.
As a Compliance Coordinator, you will provide the administrative and information management support that underpins effective compliance monitoring and reporting. You will coordinate key processes across the compliance programme, including managing records and data, processing monitoring information, coordinating invoicing and reporting activities, and ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and up to date. You will also support consent holders by providing guidance, responding to enquiries, and maintaining key systems and registers. A key focus of the role is maintaining the integrity of compliance data and identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery. Working collaboratively across Council teams, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help ensure regulatory requirements are supported through accurate, efficient, and well-managed administrative practices.
You will be a highly organised and proactive professional with a strong customer focus and a passion for delivering quality outcomes. Comfortable managing competing priorities, you will bring excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and strong attention to detail. You will enjoy working with systems and information, building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and finding opportunities to improve processes and service delivery. You will also bring a culturally aware approach to your work, demonstrating respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi and engaging effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is between $60,690 to $71,400 per annum, and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
