Senior Land Management Advisor - Catchment Management (Vacancy 16-835)

Do you have a sound understanding of rural issues? Can you influence change?

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is looking for a Senior Land Management Advisor to focus on catchment management.  You will need to have excellent communication and facilitation skills with an understanding of farming systems, working with diverse groups of people and the challenges in realising long term sustainable outcomes for the rural community.  You will be comfortable working collaboratively with the community to collectively develop and implement solutions to sustainable land management challenges.

We need you to have at least five years’ experience working with industry or community groups, ideally a post graduate qualification and the ability to build and and manage a range of implementation programmes.  You will be providing advice and support to a range of stakeholders alongside a variety of other agencies considering economic, environmental and social outcomes.
