To celebrate Seaweek Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is once again planning a beach clean-up at Waitangi Regional Park, around the mouth of the Ngaruroro River near Awatoto.

This site is under re-development and the new celestial compass platform will be open for viewing. We will be conducting a walk and talk session during the morning. New signage, wetlands, plantings and walkways will be developed over the next two years.

A sausage sizzle will be provided for all the clean-up volunteers from 11.30 am. We welcome everyone to come along help the environment by cleaning up the rubbish and check out this newly enhanced area.
