Senior Rates Officer (Vacancy No 17-868)

Do you have significant experience in Council rates work? Are you positive minded with excellent customer service skills?

Council is looking to fill this important role in our rates team.  The role is the key to the successful operation of the rates process and the Senior Rates Officer will be responsible for ensuring the rates operation is run effectively and efficiently.

To be the successful candidate you will have at least three years’ experience in a senior rates role and be methodical with an excellent eye for detail.  You must be able to deal with stressful situations and clients in a calm, respectful and effective way.  Your computer skills will be at a high level, particularly with rating software packages and Microsoft Excel.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to a high level of customer service, be able to manage priorities and deadlines effectively and be a positive member of the Finance team.  You must also be able to adapt to change and be proactive in looking for continuous improvement.
