Project Manager HB Biodiversity Strategy – 12 Month Fixed Term (Vacancy 17-892)

Hawke’s Bay has a Biodiversity Strategy implementation plan which will be driven by the HB Biodiversity Trust and supported by the Biodiversity Guardians of Hawke’s Bay.

To ensure the strategy is effectively implemented and the objectives met, this project manager role has been created. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the biodiversity opportunities for Hawke’s Bay for a person with drive and commitment and an ability to work effectively with others. The employment of the role will be managed by HBRC, a committed partner to the objectives of the strategy.

You will need an ability to integrate strategic thinking with operational delivery and be able to host positive relationships with other key stakeholders in the project. Evidence of successful project management will be required as will be a good understanding of biodiversity and conservation.

Marketing and sales experience would be an advantage and you will need strong report writing and all round communication skills. A relevant qualification would be helpful but is not essential.
