Hawke’s Bay Regional Council’s Works Group (a business unit of Council) is seeking an experienced all-rounder with mechanical ability, to join our team based in Taradale.

The role will primarily be involved in the maintenance of Council’s river and drainage assets. Our ideal candidate would have;

• Mechanical maintenance experience.
• Light engineering skills.
• Carpentry skills.
• Experience in machinery operation.
• Full clean class 1 license - Class 4 would be advantageous.
• Ability to effectively communicate with land owners, the community and peers.
• Be committed to safe work practices and complying by health and safety legislation.
• Be comfortable working both individually and in a team environment.
