Hawkes Bay Regional Council is looking for a person who is interested in making a difference in protecting Hawke’s Bay biodiversity and primary production from harmful pest plants. You will be part of the Catchment Services team who provide the alignment of biosecurity and biodiversity activity.
You will have the ability manage plant pest control programmes and the capability to communicate with various landowners across parts of the Hawke’s Bay region.
Based in our Napier office and reporting to the Biosecurity Team Leader Plant Pest, you will be responsible for implementing and managing plant pest programmes which are in accordance with the Regional Pest Management Plan, focusing on both biodiversity and production pest plants. You’ll also enjoy working with other parts of the Plant Pest team and the Council, as well as the rural community.
This position has a varied work programme and you will have the opportunity to further develop your career and experience in biosecurity matters.
