Catchment Advisor [TukiTuki-Southern Coasts] – A 12 Month Fixed Term Position based in Waipawa.                 Catchment Advisor [Central] - A Permanent Full Time Position based Napier

The recently formed Catchment Teams are located in three zones across the Hawke’s Bay Region; Wairoa-Mohaka, Central & the Tukituki-Southern Coasts. A vital role within Council, the Catchment Advisors regularly engage with the community and landowners to promote and facilitate sustainable land use and practices across a broad range of activities.

The successful candidates will have a relevant tertiary qualification or relevant experience, a strong affinity with landowners, the rural sector and a good understanding of primary industry issues. Your strong knowledge of land based farming systems, the Resource Management Act, soil and nutrient management will enable you to work collaboratively with the community to educate and ensure landowners understand industry best practice.
