Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marine Scientist.  Working in a dynamic team environment, this role is varied and motivating. The role would suit a marine scientist who is keen to apply their skills to deliver the information needed to make good decisions for our marine and coastal area.

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification, experience in delivering science projects to meet the needs of diverse audiences and excellent analytical, report writing and project management skills. As part of a small team with high expectations, you will need to be highly engaged, have excellent people skills and an ability to service multiple work streams across Council.

Experience within resource management is preferred, but delivering excellent science in an engaging and clear way is essential.
