The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate attention to detail providing Data quality assurance. This role is required to ensure the raw data collected by the team is interpreted correctly and processed without flaw. In addition, will have the skills to work collaboratively with the GIS team to deliver data outcomes and manage multiple data sites and the data management of a FEMP online portal.

This role is based in the Regional Councils’ Napier office and supports the Farm Environmental Management Planning (FEMP) project team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of data. The data collected will enable reporting of Farm Plan progress in Hawke’s Bay, focusing on catchment areas for Tukituki River, Tutaekuri River, Karamu River, Ahuriri Estuary and the Ngaruroro River.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about the environmental regulation facing NZ’s agricultural sector and the cutting edge science and investigation using the latest technology and techniques to identify and analyse on farm environmental risks to water ways.
