Engineering Graduate (Vacancy 19-289)

Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) is the regional authority for the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand with key roles in environmental management and education; flood control, drainage, pollution, waste, land, water and coastal management. Supporting approximately 160,000 residents, Council's vision is to enable a healthy environment, a vibrant community and a prosperous economy. 

About the opportunity:

The Asset Management team has developed the Engineering Graduate position to mentor and grow your capability across the Environmental Engineering sector. You will support the development of engineering designs for flood control and drainage infrastructure, undertake waterway and flood modelling while being guided and mentored by the Team Leader Engineering. This is a fantastic full time permanent opportunity for a keen graduate to put their study into practice. The salary range for suitable candidates that meet the requirements for this role is $59,840 - $71,808 depending on qualifications and experience.

About you:

You will have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, keen to learn and harness your skills while working towards recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer.

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree
  • High level of Microsoft office and computer skills.
  • A clean full driver’s licence. 
  • Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
