Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) is the regional authority for the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand with key roles in environmental management and education; flood control, drainage, pollution, waste, land, water and coastal management. Supporting approximately 160,000 residents, Council's vision is to enable a healthy environment, a vibrant community and a prosperous economy.
Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has an exciting new opportunity for an innovative person to provide comprehensive confidential executive level administrative support to the Māori partnerships team. This is an important role in the Council requiring high levels of accuracy, an ability to work effectively under pressure and an ability to undertake research and some project management.
The salary range for suitable candidates that meet the requirements for this role is $58,500 - $66,300 depending on qualifications and experience.
The successful applicant will need to have a strong understanding of Te reo me ōna tikanga (Māori language, customs and protocols); be skilled in responding to a varied and diverse workload, be a very organised person and have exceptional computer and communication skills. Previous experience as an executive assistant would be advantageous.
