The Manager Regional Water Security is a newly created fixed term role, based within the Asset Management Group and working closely with other groups across Council. This role will focus on leading the development and implementation of HRBRC’s Regional Freshwater Security programme and managing the associated contracts and budgets. Collaborating with regional tangata whenua to maximise opportunities for enhancing cultural, social, economic and environmental outcomes for Maori from the Freshwater Water Security programme.

To be successful in this key position, you will have proven background in local government, strategic planning or RMA policy and NPSFM experience. With an understanding of HBRC’s functional areas, roles and responsivities, particularly in the area of resource management.

You will be customer-focused, creative and innovative in your thinking, have sound judgement and be known for your strong engagement and partnering skills.
